Satechi USB-C Multiport Adapter 8K with Ethernet V3 in Midnight extends one compatible USB-C port with HDMI 2.1, four USB-C data ports, UHS-II SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet and USB-C Power Delivery charging port. The adapter supports images up to 8K at 30 Hz, data transfer up to 10 Gbps and through-the-air charging with output power up to 85 W.
The aluminum construction, braided cable and reinforced wire connection to the housing have been adapted for everyday use. The adapter works in Plug and Play mode, so it does not require installing additional software or drivers.
HDMI 2.1 with up to 8K video at 30 Hz
The HDMI 2.1 port allows you to connect a compatible monitor, TV or other external display. With the right source device and screen, the adapter supports the following image modes:
- 8K at 30 Hz,
- 4K at 60 Hz,
- 4K at 120 Hz,
- 4K at 144 Hz
The available resolution and refresh rate depend on the capabilities of the source device, HDMI cable and connected display.
Important information about higher refresh rate
According to the manufacturer, 4K resolution at 120 Hz or 144 Hz is available with compatible Windows devices. For Macs, you need to lower the resolution to get a higher refresh rate.
The 2026 MacBook Neo supports up to 4K at 60 Hz via the HDMI port.
Three USB-C ports up to 10 Gbps
The adapter has three USB-C data ports operating in the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. Each of them supports data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps.
Ports can be used to connect compatible storage and other USB-C devices. Actual read and write speeds depend on the parameters of the connected device.
Additional data port up to 5 Gbps
The fourth data port operates in the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard and supports transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps. In total, the adapter provides four ports for data transmission.
USB-C data ports do not transmit images
USB-C data ports do not support video output. The external monitor must be connected to the HDMI port via an HDMI cable.
The manufacturer also does not recommend using USB-C data ports to charge devices. A separate USB-C Power Delivery port is designed to power the source device.
USB-C Power Delivery Pass-through Charging
The dedicated USB-C Power Delivery port accepts input power up to 100 W and transmits a maximum of 85 W to the source device. The port is used exclusively to charge a computer, tablet or phone acting as a source device.
The Power Delivery port does not support data or image transmission. It is also not designed to charge your phone or tablet connected to the adapter as an accessory device.
Adapter power supply
The adapter can be powered directly from the USB-C port of the source device. According to the manufacturer, its power consumption is 15 W.
For optimal performance, the manufacturer recommends connecting one USB-powered device, such as an external drive, at the same time.
SD card reader 4.0 UHS-II
