Multifunctional meter for electrical installation parameters Sonel MPI-536 is designed for checking home and industrial­ electrical installations. With the help of the instrument, measurements can be made, the results of which determine the safety status of the installation. This makes it possible to measure the parameters of shock protection using one uni­versal device.

In terms of insulation resistance control, Sonel MPI-536 has very wide possibilities – its maximum measurement voltage is up to 2500 V. The insulation diagnostics are supported by R(t)/U(t), R(t)/I(t), U(t)/I(t), I(U) charts, available both after and during the measurement. In addition, the instrument calculates absorption coefficients and temperature coefficients. In addition, Sonel MPI-536 enables automatic measurement of insulation resistance of 3-, 4- or 5-wire wires or cables using the optional AutoISO-2500 adapter.

Significant automation of measurements is enabled by the function of testing residual current circuit breakers in Auto mode, as well as pre-programmed by the manufacturer measurement sequences (so-called. au­totests), which can also be expanded with their own sequences

The instrument can perform all acceptance measurements of electrical installations in accordance with applicable regulations:

• parameters of RCD circuit breakers,
• insulation resistance,
• ground resistance (4 measurement methods + ground resistivity measurement),
• continuity of protective and compensatory connections,
• intensity of lighting,
• phase order test,
• engine direction test.

Installation security check

Thanks to the device, you can control home and industrial electrical installations in terms of safety. Measurements can be easily automated by:

• testing of residual current circuit breakers in Auto mode,
• self-tests – i.e. freely configurable measurement sequences,
• use of AutoISO-2500 adapter to test insulation resistance of 3-, 4- and 5-wire wires.

Ease of reading

The device is equipped with a color touch LCD screen with a diagonal of 7” and a resolution of 800x480 pixels. This guarantees convenience in operation and easy reading of parameters and time courses. A large screen means more information available when using the meter. The included stylus also allows you to work in dielectric gloves.

Built-in help system

The device has built-in help screens with measurement diagrams. Thanks to this, you can easily and quickly check how to connect a given system depending on the type of measurement performed.

Increased resistance to environmental conditions

The meter will cope well in difficult environmental conditions. Protection against dust and water ingress is provided by a unique housing with IP51 protection level. It is resistant to mechanical damage, and the special design allows you to easily secure the touch display by moving the meter cover. In addition to protecting against damage, it also allows you to comfortably carry and use the device in various positions.

Communication and software

The advantage of the device is a multitude of communication interfaces and cooperation with external software. Through a USB port, removable SD memory card or via wireless communication (Bluetooth*, Wi-Fi) you can transfer measurement data to your computer.

In order to generate a test report in the field of shock protection, use the Sonel Electrical Measurements program. Save downloaded resources to the simplest formats and printout is provided by Sonel Reader.
