How does a non-contact infrared thermometer work?
The device measures the infrared radiation emitted by the human body. The higher the temperature, the higher the radiation. When it is close to the patient’s forehead, the thermometer sensor takes a measurement and displays the result expressed in degrees Celsius. It can be used on children from 1 day of age, adults, and the elderly. Measurement does not require undressing or waking the patient, because it can be done completely non-invasively. Suitable for home use. However, it also works well in schools, kindergartens, workplaces and medical facilities. It allows you to measure the temperature in a hygienic way in a short time in many people. It is very fast in action, it only takes a few seconds to get the result.
The non-contact infrared thermometer allows you to measure your body temperature very accurately in just a few seconds. To measure, simply bring the device closer to the patient’s forehead. The thermometer does not come into direct contact with the patient’s body during the measurement. It can therefore be used by many people without the need for disinfection every time. If necessary, simply clean it with a soft cloth and medical alcohol.
The ambient temperature during the use of the infrared thermometer should be between 16 and 35 degrees Celsius. The device measures temperature in the range from 32 to 42 degrees Celsius. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight or exposed to moisture. During periodic cleaning of the device, care should be taken that alcohol or water used to wash its surface does not get inside. This can damage your system. Alkaline batteries are recommended to power the thermometer. If the device is not used for more than 3 months, it should be removed from its interior. Leakage of fluid from the battery can damage the thermometer.
