The thermometer is equipped with a fever alarm that informs the user about the status of its temperature using an illuminated LCD display. When the body temperature is within normal limits, the display lights up green. In the case of a slight fever, it turns orange, while a high fever is indicated by a red backlight and an alarm sound when the body temperature exceeds 38°C.
