The basic body temperature, or BBT, is the temperature of the body at full rest.

It is best to measure it immediately after waking up, even before getting out of bed and starting any activity.

After ovulation, the temperature of BBT can increase by about 0,2 to 0,6°C or more. However, the most important is not one measurement, but the trend visible on the chart from the following days.

The basal temperature can change under the influence of many factors.

The result may be influenced, among others:

✅ getting out of bed before measuring,

✅ talking, eating or drinking,

✅ stress and fatigue,

✅ alcohol consumption,

✅ infection or elevated temperature,

✅ medications taken,

✅ change of location or measurement method.

Therefore, measurements are best performed every day under the most similar conditions.

The most important thing is regularity and comparing temperatures from many consecutive days.

HOW TO MEASURE THE TEMPERATURE BBT CORRECTLY?

To make the results as comparable as possible, take a measurement of:

⏰ every day at a similar time,

🛏 immediately after waking up,

✅ before getting out of bed,

✅ before eating and drinking,

✅ before the conversation and more activity,

✅ after a few hours of uninterrupted sleep,

✅ always with the same thermometer,

✅ always the same way.

The thermometer is best stored next to the bed so that you do not have to get up after waking up.

Temperature changes occurring during the cycle are small.

An ordinary thermometer showing the result only to one decimal place may not show all the differences.

To enter memory:

1 Make sure the thermometer is off.

2 Hold the on button for about four seconds.

3 With a short press of a button, move on to the next saved results.

4 To exit memory, hold down the button or wait a few seconds.

The results are displayed from the latest to the oldest.

The thermometer is powered by a CR1632 3 V lithium battery.

The symbol of the discharged battery on the display indicates the need to replace it.

After replacing the battery, make sure that the pole marked with the symbol “+” is directed upwards.

The battery is installed on the device. Before the first use, remove the protective insulation strip.
