PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 is an electronic rectifier for charging 12 and 24 volt acid batteries:
- WET (liquid - acidic)
- GEL (gel)
- MF (maintenance-free)
- AGM (with fiberglass mat)
- EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
- and 12V lithium batteries
- Li (LiFePO4)
The rectifier has a microprocessor control system, provides automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after the voltage drops on the battery.
With each switch on, the rectifier automatically sets the last remembered parameters (helpful for repeated use and power grid failures).
Charging function of cold batteries: optimizes charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).
The 9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 9 charging stages to properly charge the battery:
STEP 1 - DIAGNOSTIC (Diagnostics) – analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept charging current; prevents charging the damaged battery.
STEP 2 - RECOVERY CHARGE (Pre-charging) – low voltage batteries are pre-charged with low current but with increased voltage; highly discharged batteries can be restored to their useful state and this ensures longer battery life, the stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
STEP 3 - SOFT START - the rectifier gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current.
STEP 4 - PULSE CHARGE – the battery is charged with pulsed current (pulse fluctuations take place in the DC current range).
STEP 5 - RECONDITIONING – preparation stage for bulk charge.
STEP 6 - BULK CHARGE – charging with a constant current value to the previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V).
STEP 7 - ABSORPTION CHARGE – after reaching the required battery charge level, there will be a change to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process will be completed.
STEP 8 - EVALUATION DIAGNOSTIC – automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging.
STEP 9 - MAINTENANCE CHARGE – stage supporting the battery (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.

LCD display
Depending on the choice of the function LCD display indicates the operating status of the rectifier:
- Charging in 12V mode : 5A / 14.4V
- Charging in 12V mode : 15A only for lithium batteries (LIFeP04)
- Charging in 12V mode : 25A / 14.4V
- Charging in 24V mode : 12.5A / 28.8V
- Charging in winter mode: 15A / 14.7V. Recommended for charging batteries at temp. below 5°C.

- Information: - about the lack of connection of terminals, - about the incorrect connection of pole terminals
- Information: - about the poor condition of the battery, - about the incorrectly selected charging function (e.g. 6V battery charging with 12V mode)
