The KIO model is a proposal of a car seat from the manufacturer RECARO, which can be used by children weighing up to 18 kg or from the height range from 60 to 105 cm, i.e. from approx. 3 months to 4 years. The seat adapts to the growing child, and this is possible thanks to the height adjustment of the headrest, which is integrated into the seat belts. The RECARO KIO model also takes care of driving comfort - the foam in the seat perfectly adapts to the shape of the child's body, and the innovative ventilation system prevents overheating, especially during hot days.

Innovative solutions in the ventilation system

The RECARO KIO seat is designed to provide your child with the utmost comfort while providing ventilation. This issue becomes important when we want to avoid overheating of the child during hot days and provide him with fresh air. In the RECARO KIO model, special holes are used in the outer shell and in the inner energy-intensive layer, which ensure proper air circulation. In addition, there are mesh inserts in the upholstery, which also affect ventilation.

Additional side protection

In order to strengthen the protection of the child in side collisions, the RECARO KIO seat uses the ASP (Advanced Side Protection) system. These are special elements in the seat that can be extended and activated from the side of the car door, and their task is to reduce the impact force during a possible collision on the side.

Safe travel position

The RECARO KIO seat is installed in the car using the ISOFIX base (to be purchased in a separate our auction), which also fits another model of the seat of this brand - AVAN. Thanks to this, parents who started their adventure with RECARO from an earlier model can continue it. The seat can be mounted rearward and forward facing. However, it should be borne in mind that travelling backwards is five times safer and thus, according to the regulations, children who are under 15 months of age should ride. In the next stage, it is possible to position the seat forward-facing.
