Moondrop Pair 2 – Next generation 100mm round-ear planar headphones

Moondrop Pair 2 is the latest installment in the manufacturer's planar headphones series, designed for exceptional sound quality and precise detail reproduction. Equipped with a planar magnetic transducer with a diameter of 100 mm, an ultra-thin membrane with a thickness of 1,2 µm and an optimized magnetic architecture, they offer extremely low distortion and sound faithful to the intention of the recording.

Advanced planar transducer

Pair 2 uses a large planar converter­ integrated with Full Drive technology, in which the entire membrane is covered with a control circuit and immersed in a uniform magnetic field. Thanks to this, the headphones achieve a low level of distortion and fast response time.

Membrane 1,2 µm

The ultra-thin 1,2 µm thick membrane provides excellent transients and detailed high-frequency reproduction for a clear and natural sound.

Circuit digested with pure silver

Flexible, silver-plated, high-purity circuit, built into the membrane structure, reduces surface stress and additional resonances, increasing the efficiency of the transducer.

Strong magnetic architecture

The N52 system of 36 magnets generates a homogeneous, stable magnetic field across the membrane. The result is fast transducer movement, high dynamics and extremely low nonlinear distortion.

Patented cavity structure

The new layered design of the transducer minimizes unwanted vibrations, improves ergonomics and gives the headphones an elegant, durable character.

Sound matched to VDSF

Pair 2 has been tuned according to the characteristics of the Moondrop VDSF (Virtual Diffuse Sound Field), which provides a broadband, natural and balanced frequency response. The result is a smooth, detailed, and musical sound profile, perfect for both professional listening and everyday music enjoyment.

Design and execution

The headphones are distinguished by a modern aesthetic inspired by the Bauhaus style. The design combines stainless steel with lightweight industrial-grade materials for durability, comfort and a modern look. Double 3,5 mm sockets increase compatibility with various cables and amplifiers.
