2. Slap- once in a while (e.g. once a quarter), it is recommended to shake the carpet - manually with a whisk or mechanically with appliances.
3. Washing- Shaggy carpet is not recommended to be washed in the traditional way. This can lead to their destruction. Carpet fibers are able to absorb a large amount of water, so a long drying period of the carpet is unfavorable for the product and the user. An acceptable way may be to use a washing vacuum cleaner. For stain removal, you can topically use chlorine-free preparations, dedicated cleaning agents or baking soda. If water is used, then the minimum amount is not to soak the carpet.
