Protein hydrolysate is a kind of molecule that has been pre-digested in the technological and production process to improve absorption. This process involves subjecting whey protein concentrate or isolate to proteolytic enzymes. This molecule was spread over chains characterized by different lengths. This allows the long peptide chains to be broken down into shorter ones.
Thanks to the hydrolysis process , i.e. pre-digestion, this molecule is able to pass through the intestinal tract faster and have a positive effect on muscle protein synthesis processes.
