MARKING OR CHECKING ANGLES 90

The angle is ideal for marking 90° angles or checking that the edge is right. In order to determine the right angle, the angle is placed with the T edge on the rafter or workpiece, and the 90° line is drawn perpendicular to the T edge along the marking edge.

MARKING OR CHECKING ANGLES 45

The angle has a 45° angle that can be quickly marked. For this purpose, the angle is placed with the T edge on the rafter or workpiece and marks the line along the longer side of the angle. If the angle of 45° is to run in a different direction, the angle is simply reversed.

ANGLE METER 0-90

Using a gradual scale on the hypotenuse angle, any angle from 0 to 90° can be measured. First, determine the starting point from which the angle is to be measured. This can be, for example, the end of a workpiece/stepper or a 90° line. Then the angle is rotated around the pivot point, which is marked as PIVOT, to the desired angle on a gradual scale (in the figure: 30°). Now the angle can be marked with lines along the edge of the marking. The step scale on the angle can be used not only for marking angles, but also for easy reading of angles.

TRACKING OF PARALLEL LINES

Below the marking edge there is a recess with incisions arranged at a distance of 0,5 cm from each other to mark or directly outline parallel lines with a pencil. To do this, simply place the pencil at the selected point in the recess and move it with the angle in a parallel direction.

MARKING OF SHIFTED LINES

The recess directly below the T-edge is ideal for determining parallel lines perpendicular to the T-edge. For this purpose, for example, the reference line is first marked. Then the angle is moved until the reference line appears in the desired position on the offset scale. Then a new line is drawn along the edge of the selection.

ASSISTANCE WITH CUTTING

The SOLA angle can also be used as a cutting aid or a saw guide to make perpendicular cuts. In this process, the angle is held securely in place, the saw is positioned and used for cutting along the edge of the marking. It does not matter whether a jigsaw or a manual circular saw is used. Miter cuts at an angle of 45° are also possible.
