Recommended intake / method of preparation:

Mix 3/4 scoop of powder (5 g) with 150 ml of water. Consume 1 serving twice a day: before training and immediately after training. Use on training days.

AAKG – what is hidden under this abbreviation?

AAKG is L-arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, which is nothing more than one form of arginine. Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is involved in protein synthesis, detoxification of ammonia and its conversion to glucose, and is also catabolized to energy production. In addition to physiological functions, arginine also exhibits ergogenic potential. Arginine is a precursor to the nitric oxide cell signaling molecule, which acts as a signaling molecule to facilitate vasodilation and reduce vascular resistance. One of the main effects of nitric oxide on skeletal muscle metabolism is to increase the delivery and uptake of fuel substrates through vasodilatory effects.

Combining L-arginine with alpha-ketoglutarate may help improve exercise performance

Why is this happening? More scientifically speaking, the combination of L-arginine with alpha-ketoglutarate is intended to help improve exercise performance by increasing adenosine triphosphate production. Alpha-ketoglutarate is a metabolite produced by one of the processes occurring in the Krebs cycle, and in turn its exogenous supply, e.g. in the form of L-arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG), it can increase the flow in the Krebs cycle, thereby increasing the rate of reactions. According to a scientific article on AAKG supplementation (Wax et al., 2012), supplementation with alpha-ketoglutarate may also have an impact on saving glutamate resources in the body, which is an amino acid necessary for e.g. protein anabolism.

Is vitamin B6 a good addition to AAKG?

Of course I do! Vitamin B6 is involved in more life processes of the human body than any other vitamin! It is a great enrichment of the peri-workout product, because it contributes to the maintenance of normal energy metabolism, reduction of fatigue and fatigue and to the maintenance of normal protein and glycogen metabolism. In addition, vitamin B6 helps in the proper production of red blood cells, in the regulation of hormonal activity, as well as in maintaining normal homocysteine metabolism. What’s more, this vitamin helps in the proper functioning of the nervous and immune systems. The addition of taurine is also not insignificant. It performs a number of physiological functions, and its activity also takes place at the level of the cell membrane. Taurine primarily exhibits antioxidant properties.
