Mixture for rats to prepare mush Päppel-Mischung / Farbratten Päppel-Mischung

Päppel-Mischung mixture is suitable for species and easily digestible nutrient-dense and basic food for sick and old rats and hairless rats with an additional portion of vitamins. The mixture contains 64 % flour seeds, 11 % oilseeds and hazelnuts, 10 % vegetables and fruits, 7 % legumes, 5 % animal protein and 3 % herbs.

Most of the ingredients contained in rat food are flaked, blown or peeled. This makes it easier for old, sick or weakened rats to eat food. In addition, cereals are easier to digest. This is especially true if the food is soaked in water. Soaked food in the form of mush should be treated as fresh food: it is replaced after one to two hours.

Animal proteins in the form of mealworm larvae and crickets provide additional energy. They provide rats, including hairless ones, with enough protein. Optionally, supplementary foods can be given to Vitaminchen.

Oats, cornflakes, oatmeal, wheat flakes, corn (blown), wheat (blown), pea flakes, peanut seeds, shelled sunflower seeds, banana chips, carrot slices, bean flakes, dandelion leaves, shelled pumpkin seeds, mealworm larvae, crickets, red pepper.

Recommendations for feeding

Depending on the animal’s nutritional behaviour, 1-2 tablespoons per animal/day, plus fresh water, fresh food and optional Vitaminchen supplementary food every day.
