Application
- Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 is a fully synthetic engine oil developed using the most advanced Shell technology compatible with exhaust emission control systems, protecting catalysts for gasoline cars and particle filters for diesel cars. It protects against ashes, which can cause blocking of the exhaust system and reduce engine efficiency.
- Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 can be used in modern gasoline engines, diesel engines, as well as those equipped with a solid particle filter and gas-powered engines.

It meets the requirements of modern diesel engines with DPF and gasoline with a three way catalytic converter. It reduces fuel consumption. In the test, the VW PV1451 showed a 3% lower fuel consumption. Thanks to viscosity parameters, it protects the engine better than typical oils in class 5W-30 at high and low operating temperatures.

TECHNOLOGIES USED
The formation of sediments is caused by the joining of particles of impurities, mainly soot. By using Shell Active Cleansing Technology, Shell Helix oils prevent molecules from joining together and thereby depositing contaminants that reduce engine power and efficiency. This technology guarantees a higher level of purification, protection exceeding the requirements of industry standards. Ensured maintenance of key engine components in the cleanliness characteristic so far only for new engines. Shell Helix oils contain active cleansing substances acting in two ways: preventing the formation of new deposits and cleansing from old ones. Shell Active Cleansing technology cleans from nagar and sludge, which are created when using products of lower quality, and thus allows to maintain high purity of the system. At the same time, active particles that come from additives bind contaminants (forming naturally when burning the fuel mixture) before they form deposits in the combustion chamber, reducing engine power and efficiency. The combined technologies of Shell PurePlus and Shell Active Cleansing enabled the development of the next generation of engine oils.
