THERMO-Tarp™ 3X3 / camo is dedicated in particular to people involved in bushcraft and military activities.

The waterproof ripstop weave reinforced material is covered on one side with a woodland pattern and on the other with a silver heat-reflecting layer. Edges reinforced with tape with triple stitching. The set includes a convenient carrying bag with handles and 10m of cord.

CAMO (full name Woodland CAMO) or M81 for short is the most popular and probably the most versatile forest camouflage. Its effectiveness is best demonstrated by the fact that with minor modifications it has been used continuously since 1948 by more than 50 armies in the world!

THERMO-Tarp™ 2X3/camo is made of extremely packable, lightweight, waterproof and, importantly, breathable material (Polyester) with ripstop weave.

The top side is covered with a mosaic of masking colors – olive, brown, black and coyote.

Irregular shapes and the specificity of the collage of masking colors cause that tarp merges with the forest environment even a short distance from the observer’s eyes.

The other side is coated with a thermal insulation layer, which increases thermal comfort. Silver cover perfectly reflects body heat, maintaining thermal comfort in conditions of reduced ambient temperature. On hot days, it reflects the sun's rays, which significantly reduces the temperature under the tarp.

Construction

The unique design makes it not only a practical and lightweight camping shelter. It is also a practical blanket, sleeping mattress, complete bed or rescue stretcher. It is also used as a heat reflector (e.g. when drying clothes) or signal sheet during rescue operations.

Loops

Specially designed loops are much easier to handle than their classic counterparts.

The characteristic clearance between the loop tapes not only facilitates work in difficult conditions, but also allows the tape to fit better around the lashings.

The inconspicuous change of the loop design also allows for a better/wider distribution of forces acting on the tarp material. Therefore, we could give up sewn reinforcements on the sides without losing strength. At the loops located on the corners, those most exposed to overload, we left traditional reinforcements, thanks to which our tarps are doubly strong.

Transport bag

The whole is hidden in a cover, equipped with handles and loops for attachment to Molle/Palls support systems.

Handles located both along the bag and on its bottom guarantee efficient and comfortable carrying.

The loops allow you to easily attach the THERMO– Tarp™ 2X3/camo to your backpack without worrying about it accidentally slipping out during transport.

By weaving the string (ridgeline) through the belt loops, the bag can be used as a convenient pocket for things we want to have at our fingertips.

After folding, the sheet takes up little space. Its modest dimensions (26 x 13 x 13 cm) make it fit on the flap of even a small backpack.

Usage

THERMO-Tarp™ 2X3/camo can be broken down in many ways thanks to tape reinforcement and convenient loop placement.

Using the surroundings (trees, rocks, terrain depressions) and e.g. trekking poles, paddles, bike or just ordinary poles, you can create a great tent perfectly adapted to the place and weather.

In many situations THERMO-Tarp™ is much better than a traditional tent. With its low weight (0,6 kg), the shelter built of it provides much more space than a tent (of similar weight). 2 people can sleep comfortably under it.

In extremely bad weather, you can create an “assault” tent from it in a few moments. Such a shelter isolates both from the ground and from any other side. The thermal conductivity of tarp is nearly 40 times lower than sand and almost 20 times lower than grasses. Such a system together with a thermal insulation coating provides protection against cooling, precipitation and wind. It leaves enough space to lie down or sit comfortably, expecting the weather to improve.

On hot days, breaking the shelter with the thermal insulation side outside, we provide a nice shade to protect against overheating of the body.

On a daily basis, during family holidays, the tarpaulin can be used to create a airy patio above the entrance of the tent or serve as a cover for the off-road bathroom. The THERMO-Tarp™ tent imposed on top protects against heating inside and gives you the opportunity to sleep longer in the morning on hot days.

THERMO-tarp™ is also an excellent protection when using a hammock (e.g. BushBed™ hammock). It can be used e.g. as:

Canopy protecting against precipitation and wind.

Protection from the sun.

The thermal insulation layer reflects the sun's rays, making it much cooler under the tarp.

Lining / warmer – so-called. “underquilt”, which thanks to its unique thermal insulation protects against low temperatures.

In the event that hanging a hammock is impossible, it successfully replaces the tent.
