Happy Dog VET Diet Struvit is used to dissolve struvite stones and reduce the recurrence of struvite stones in adult dogs. This dietary, complete food contains exceptionally high-value protein and is characterized by a reduced content of magnesium, phosphorus, and urine acidifying properties, which results in a significant reduction in the urine pH value. Slightly increased sodium content, through greater absorption of water causes urinary tract flushing. Delicious herbs such as dandelion and nettle are traditionally used as a complement to classic urinary tract therapy.

• For optimal dissolving effect of stones, only this type of feed should be used. Supplementary food should be discussed with your veterinarian.
• The transition to appropriate complementary feed should, as far as possible, take place in 10 % of steps for a period of at least 2 - 4 weeks.
• To prevent the formation of struvite stones, reduce the indicated amount of feed (daily requirement) by approx. 20 - 25% and replace it with normal Happy Dog dry food. The pH of your urine should be checked regularly.
• Unless your veterinarian tells you otherwise, you should give a few small meals a day.
• The amount of feed should be adapted to the individual metabolism of the animal and, if necessary, must be reduced or increased.
• Remember to provide your dog with drinking water continuously.
• Recommended feeding period: to dissolve struvite stones use from five to twelve weeks. To prevent the recurrence of struvite stones use up to six months.
• When mixing with Happy Dog VET Struvit dry food, pay attention to: 100 g of wet food corresponds to 30 g of dry food.
