APT-4-11-CA1 is a PoE network switch that can work as a LAN extender (repeater) and PoE power supply. Most often used in situations where we need to run several network devices on one UTP cable (e.g. several IP cameras) or when an additional network branch is needed.

The device is mounted in an external housing ABOX-CA1 which has a protection degree IP68.

The device allows us to power up to 3 PoE receivers using a single UTP cable. In situations where we do not have the opportunity to bring a new cable or bring it would involve additional costs.

APT-4-11-CA1 can act as a LAN + PoE extender when the distance between devices exceeds 100m. If it is possible to divide the cable into sections below 100m, we can use APT-4-11-CA1 to increase the range without the need to connect additional power supply with full bandwidth of 100Mbps.

Built-in LR150 (Long Range 150m) function allows stable operation of all ports up to 150 UTP with 100Mbps speed and PoE power supply. This will allow the installation of cameras without the use of an additional intermediate extender for distances above 100m.

Basic applications:

  • as a splitter for 3 PoE receivers (IP cameras) powered by one UTP cable, e.g. installation of additional cameras in place of existing cameras without replacing wiring
  • in a cascade (serial) connection for connecting several IP PoE devices at distances exceeding 100m UTP cable
  • the possibility of local power supply allows to build a complex structure of distribution points in extensive installations

APT-4-11-CA1 is designed to work with any network devices, IP cameras and other PoE 802.3af/at.

The APT (Atte Power Tree) series devices ensure compatibility with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards as PoE receivers and IEEE 802.3af/at on all output ports. After connecting the device to the output ports 2-4, the receiver is identified and if it is a PoE-powered device, the power supply in the port will be turned on.

Switch APT has the ability to power from an external power supply using an additional plug-in screw connector, in which case LAN port 1 is used as a LAN network port (without PoE power supply).

The PoE identification standard, operating status and available power for receivers are indicated by LEDs:

  • LED PWR (red) - power supply
  • LED L1 ... L4 (green) – transmission on LAN 1 ... LAN 4 ports
  • LED in RJ45 ports (red) – PoE power supply in the port
  • LED at (red) - identification as a 30W PoE receiver
  • LED bt (red) - identification as a 60W PoE receiver

Most important features and functions:

  • can be powered from another PoE switch in the 802.3af, 802.3at, 802.3bt or PoE Passive standard (PoE IN port)
  • amplifies and separates the network signal (fully functional 100Mbps switch)
  • cascade power supply (one switch powers another)
  • possibility of powering up to 3 PoE 802.3af/at receivers
  • up to 60W total power with UTP
  • high degree of IP protection (IP68)
  • built-in LR150 function increases maximum transmission distance up to 150 meters

  • easy and quick start-up without the need to configure parameters
  • wide operating temperature range (-25°C...+65°C)

APT-4-11-CA1 is mounted in an external housing ABOX-CA1, which is equipped with one M25 gland with a cartridge for 4 wires with a diameter of 5mm.

Installation of the device is carried out using mounting holes.

The device has a degree of protection IP68, making it a solution dedicated to outdoor installation. The housing provides full resistance against weather conditions.

The ABOX-CA1 housing allows for installation in several ways:

  • by screwing through the mounting holes to any flat surface
  • Using an additional ADD-PMACA1 adapter, the module can be mounted on a pole
