Basic mixture for cultured mice and gerbils
A complete basic blend developed to meet the nutritional needs of breeding mice and gerbils. It is an excellent base for a daily diet, which – depending on the requirements of the species and individual needs of animals – should be supplemented with animal protein, fresh vegetables and natural additives.
The composition of the mixture is based on carefully selected ingredients:
- 75,8% of seeds and cereals rich in starch,
- 22,5% of high quality oilseeds,
- 1,2% dried vegetables,
- 0,5% dried flowers.
Thanks to the simple and natural composition, the mixture can be easily enriched with additional ingredients, adjusting the diet to the age, activity and individual needs of animals.
It is recommended to serve fresh vegetables such as cucumber, peppers or zucchini every day. The diet should also include unsprayed twigs of fruit trees, fresh flowers and grasses that support natural behavior and diversify the daily menu.
Important: The mixture does not contain animal protein. To ensure proper balance of the diet, a source of high-quality protein should be administered 1 to 3 times a week, e.g. dried crickets, mealworms or freshwater shrimp. The diet can be additionally supplemented with hay, dried flowers and herbs.

Food recommendations: 2 teaspoons per day for a house mouse. Gerbils are given 2 to 4 teaspoons per day.
