The basic mixture for dwarf hamsters has been developed in accordance with the concept of "kipi" and is especially recommended for dwarf hamsters prone to diabetes. It is a base that can be easily adapted to the individual needs of the animal.
The composition of the mixture is based on the proportion of 70% of meal seeds (rich in carbohydrates) and 30% of oil seeds, which provides an appropriate starting point for composing a balanced diet.
Why does the mixture not contain animal protein?
The mixture intentionally does not contain animal protein (e.g. insects). Oil seeds are a natural source of protein and calcium, which is why they are a valuable part of the diet. Typically, the higher the fat content of seeds or nuts, the more protein and calcium they also contain.
Especially rich in these ingredients are small seeds such as sesame and poppy seeds. Also, mealy seeds and grass seeds, although often underestimated, provide high-quality vegetable protein.
Based on this mixture, you can supplement the diet with appropriate additives, adapting it to the age, condition and individual needs of the hamster.
Composition: Gryka, yellow millet (Plata), silver millet, Canarian brain seeds, hemp seeds, Japanese millet, barley, tree seeds, safflower seeds, flax seeds, milk thistle seeds, fragrant, radish seeds, turnip seeds, anise seeds, blue poppy seeds, fenugreek seeds, sesame seeds.

Food recommendations: Ok. 3 g per day per animal. Supplement the basic mixture with grass seeds, herbs, flowers, fresh food and animal protein.
