Pulsar S64H is a 6-port PoE switch designed to power IP cameras operating in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard.

Switch on ports 1 to 4 has the function of automatic detection of devices powered in the PoE / PoE + standard.

UpLink ports are used to connect additional network devices via RJ45 connector. On the front panel of the switch there is an indication of the operating status of the device realized on LEDs.

The switch allows you to work in two modes: standard and extended range. When the Long Range switch is in the STANDARD position, PoE ports operate at 100 Mbps and offer Ethernet coverage up to 100 meters.

After switching the switch to the EXTEND position, the range is increased to 250 meters and the speed is reduced to 10 Mb/s. In addition, the VLAN function is activated, which isolates PoE ports between each other (communication takes place between UpLink ports and individual PoE ports).

In both modes, the UpLink port speed is 100 Mbps.

Note: Changing modes requires a power restart!

PoE technology provides a network connection and reduces installation costs, eliminating the need to supply a separate power cable to each device. In addition to cameras, network devices that use this technology can be powered in this way, e.g. IP telephone, Access Point, router.
