SONETT Regenerating Dishwasher Salt

Effective eco-friendly detergent for dishwashers.

It improves the performance of detergents, reduces limescale build-up and thus prolongs the life of the dishwasher.

Each dishwasher has a built-in ion exchanger that captures ions that cause water hardness, i.e. calcium and magnesium and brings soft water to the dishwasher. This is to prevent the formation of limestone edges on glasses and cutlery. If the ion exchanger is saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, its absorption must be restored through regeneration. For this purpose, regenerating salt is used, which ensures the exchange of ions causing hardness, and thus ensures optimal washing results.

Specific features of the product

Regenerating salt is pure, crystallized table salt, without anti-caking agents, synthetic dyes and other additives.

Origin and properties of individual components

Salt is extracted in salt mines, dissolved in water and left to crystallize as coarse. It removes dirt. As a concentrated solution in the dishwasher salt tank, it provides the exchange of bound calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions from regenerative salt; the ion exchanger can thus supply soft water again.

Biodegradation

Table salt is a natural part of our waters. Although table salt is mineral in nature and does not require further degradation, it contributes – albeit to a relatively small extent – to a greater load of our water with salt. With an average water hardness for one wash, about 40-50 g of salt gets into the wastewater.
