Step by step: measuring and selecting the length of the clamp collar (gland)

1. Measure the circumference of the dog’s head at the widest point (usually through the ears – this is the widest point of the skull).
2. Add 5 to 7 cm (for medium and large dogs) or 2 to 3 cm (for small breeds) – the idea is that the choke can be put over the head, but it is not too loose.
3. Collar length = head circumference + stock for comfortable insertion.

Example:

German Shepherd, head circumference: 50 cm → clamp collar: 55 to 57 cm

Jack Russell, head circumference: 32 cm → clamp collar: 34 to 35 cm

Collar cannot block breathing
