Economical cartridge made of polypropylene cord for 10 inch standard filters. Captures solid contaminants such as sand, rust, silt and sludge. Filtration accuracy above 5 microns.

Typical applications of the WS10-5 Top Filter string cartridge:

  • Pre-filtration, mechanical main cold water connection in residential installations and in small single-family houses
  • Pre-filtration, mechanical in under-sink filters (usually on the first stage in two-stage filters and on the last stage in three-stage filters)
  • Pre-filtration in reverse osmosis filters (last filtration stage)

String insert can be used instead of polypropylene nonwoven inserts (polypropylene foam) - the effectiveness is comparable.

Economy series string cartridges are recommended for water filters that do not require maximum efficiency from pre-filtration.

The declared capacity of the cartridge is a maximum of 20 liters / minute. The cartridge slightly reduces water pressure (on average by 0,2 bar). The typical life of the cartridge is 8 thousand liters, but it depends on the degree of water pollution. The contribution should be replaced at least every six months, even if the degree of its contamination theoretically allows for further exploitation.
