The 48V charging balancer, also commonly known as the voltage equalizer, is a device used to maintain at the same level the voltages of 24 V batteries connected to each other in a serial system.

Thanks to this, individual batteries of the system are protected against overcharging, which in the case of lead-acid batteries can lead to excessive gassing as well as against uneven discharge, which can lead to sulphation, which in both cases may result in permanent damage to the batteries.

The principle of operation consists in independent measurement of the voltages of two 24V batteries connected in a 48V bank, determining the middle point of such a series of batteries and transferring energy from a higher voltage battery to a lower voltage battery.

Thanks to the high current capacity of the BL series balancers, they are suitable both for use with small batteries (40Ah) as well as with those with high capacity (200Ah). The advanced balancing algorithm gives you the opportunity to use the balancer to work with lead-acid as well as lithium batteries.

Operating characteristics: The device operates in the entire range of voltages permissible for the battery, always trying to maintain equal voltage values on them. In the entire voltage range and both during charging and discharging of batteries, the balancer compensates for the difference in battery capacity so that the charging and discharging process takes place optimally. With large differences in battery charge in all conditions, it guarantees the transfer of energy from a more charged battery to a less charged one so that the voltages on them are equal. Thanks to its high current capacity, it is perfect for both batteries with capacities up to 100 Ah - BL-5 version (compensates for charging and discharging current up to 5A) and above 100Ah BL-10 version (compensates up to 10A).
