SMART CHARGE 8 LCD is an electronic rectifier for charging 6 and 12 volt acid batteries: WET (liquid - acid), GEL (gel), MF (maintenance-free), AGM (with fiberglass mat), EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)

The rectifier has a microprocessor control system, provides automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after the voltage drops on the battery.

Cold battery charging function: optimizes charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).

LCD display

The rectifiers have a microprocessor control system and an LCD display that makes it much easier to monitor and adjust charging parameters.

Charging process

The 9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 9 charging stages to properly charge the battery:

STAGE 1 - Diagnostic - analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept charging current; prevents charging the damaged battery

STAGE 2 - Recovery charge – low voltage batteries are pre-charged with low current but with increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to a usable state and this ensures a longer battery life, the stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.

STAGE 3 - Soft start – the rectifier gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current

STAGE 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with pulse current (pulse fluctuations take place in the DC current range)

STAGE 5 - Reconditioning – preparation stage for charging in the bulk charge stage

STAGE 6 - Bulk charge – constant current charging to the previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)

STAGE 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required degree of battery charge, there will be a change to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process will be completed

STAGE 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging

STAGE 9 - Maintenance charge – stage supporting the battery (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.

The rectifier housing has a protection rating of IP 65 (splash-proof and dustproof). SMART CHARGE 8 LCD is equipped with protection: thermal, against the formation of sparks at the pole terminals, against short circuit poles, overload and reverse polarity. The device is equipped with a power plug.

Delivery includes a device with wires. Power cord length 180 cm, pole wire length 180 cm.
