KD1920 is a microprocessor rectifier manufactured by Kraft&Dele designed for automatic charging of lead-acid batteries of all popular types. It supports 12 V and 24 V voltages, which allows you to work with both batteries for passenger vehicles, as well as trucks or working machines.

Charging Voltage 12V/24V Charging Current 4A (12V)/8A (24V) Battery Capacity 60–200Ah Charging Process Automatic

Characteristics of the device

Microprocessor control

The microprocessor supervises the entire charging cycle – selects current and voltage parameters to the current state of the battery, preventing overcharging. The automatic process eliminates the need for manual monitoring of charging.

Support 6 types of batteries

The device supports WET (flooded), MF (maintenance-free), CA (calcium), EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery), GEL and AGM batteries. Each of these types requires slightly different charging parameters – the microprocessor adjusts them automatically.

Charging mode display

The built-in display informs about the current stage of the charging process. It allows ongoing control of the operation of the device without the need for additional measuring instruments.

Multi-level security

The rectifier is equipped with protection against overheating, short circuits and incorrect connection of poles. The protections work regardless of the charging stage, protecting both the device and the battery.

Charging time – what you need to know

The time it takes to charge a battery depends on its rated capacity (Ah) and the degree of discharge. For example: a 100 Ah battery discharged in 50% requires delivery of approx. 50 Ah of energy. With a charging current of 4 A (12V mode), it will take about 12 to 14 hours taking into account energy losses. The microprocessor automatically adjusts the charging process, going through successive phases until fully charged.

Typical applications

  • Charging starter batteries in passenger cars (12V, 60 – 100 Ah)
  • Charging of batteries in commercial vehicles and trucks (24V, up to 200 Ah)
  • Support for AGM and GEL batteries in emergency power supply systems (UPS)
  • Charging EFB and CA batteries used in vehicles with Start&Stop system
  • Maintenance of battery charge in seasonal machines (mowers, aggregates)
  • Charging batteries in motorcycles and quads (12V, capacity within the range supported by the device)
  • Regeneration and maintenance of batteries stored for a long time

How to check battery compatibility

Before use, verify the two parameters given on the battery label: nominal voltage (12V or 24V) and capacity (Ah). The KD1920 supports batteries in the 60 to 200 Ah range — batteries with a capacity below 60 Ah can be charged too much current relative to their capacity, which is not recommended. Chemical type (WET, AGM, GEL, etc. ) is usually indicated on the battery sticker or in the vehicle documentation.
