Technology

The Nexen Winguard Sport 2 WU7 winter car tyres are made from a rubber compound refined for winter conditions. Its ingredients have been selected so that the mixture retains optimal flexibility, even at very low temperatures. This allows the tyre to maintain proper grip and a short braking distance. Engineers have improved the design of the tire, thanks to which it guarantees better stability while driving. A special tread with a number of modern technologies was also used. These include 3D Winter kerf technology (better performance when riding in the snow), zigzag grooves, as well as Dual Pitch technology (biting edges for better grip on snow and ice).

Tread

The Nexen Winguard Sport 2 WU7 winter car tyres have a directional symmetrical tread. It consists of long grooves connecting both sides of the tires, arranged in the shape of the letter V. Grooves determine the shape of the pads on the front of the tire. Large, rectangular blocks were used on the shoulders. The whole is complemented by numerous lamellas and grooves removing water, protecting against aquaplaning.

Nexen is a car tire manufacturer based in South Korea. In 1956, Heungh-Ah was founded in Kyongsang Province. The company started producing motorcycle tires under an American license. In the early 60s. The production of car tyres has been launched. In 1968, the company changed its name to Woosung Tire. In the 80s. Expansion into Asian markets began.
