AVIK© spikes against birds, thanks to the extremely dense arrangement of wires, prevent both large and smaller bird species from landing and sitting. They can be used in areas particularly exposed to birds, such as:

Method of installation

Pigeon spikes are mounted using a special silicone glue or using screws in places visible to birds.

The use of gutter holders allows the installation of traditional bird spikes in places where the use of silicone glue and screws is impossible.

Made of high quality stainless steel, the wire ends have been specially bluntly terminated to do no harm to birds.

We recommend using appropriate personal protective equipment or commissioning qualified employees to perform work.

In order for the spikes to perform their task, it is important to install them correctly. Below you will find step by step how to do it – quickly, effectively and without complications.

✔ Step 1: Surface preparation

Thoroughly clean the installation site from dirt, dust, bird droppings and organic residues. Use a spatula, wire brush or damp cloth. Wear protective gloves and glasses for safety.

✔ Step 2: Degreasing the surface

• Wipe metal surfaces (unpainted) with a degreasing agent, e.g. denatured.
• In the case of concrete – it is recommended to prime the surface in advance.
• For wooden surfaces it is best to use screws or nails – spike modules have mounting holes every 5 cm.

✔ Step 3: Glue application (optional mounting method)

On the bottom of the base of the spikes spread a layer of mounting glue (approx. 5 mm thick), using a silicone gun. Estimated consumption: one tube (300 ml) is enough for approx. 10 meters of spikes.

✔ Step 4: Installation of spikes

Arrange the spikes evenly on the ground, pressing them thoroughly – with your hand or spatula. Spike modules can be easily divided into smaller sections – they have incisions every 5 cm.

✔ Step 5: Assembly conditions

Installation should be carried out on a dry surface, at a temperature above +5°C. Time of full curing of the adhesive: minimum 24 hours.

With three mounting options – glue, screws or clamping bands – you can customize the installation method to any surface.

The State Council for Nature Conservation has spoken positively on the use of bird repellent in the form of spikes.
