The aerodynamic design of the tyre shoulders is also designed to reduce fuel consumption, reducing air resistance while driving.

Kumho Ecowing ES31 have an asymmetrical tread. Three wide perimeter grooves are responsible for water drainage – thanks to this they protect the car from aquaplaning. There are two ribs on the front of the tyre, each with a different incision system. The tyre has very wide, rectangular pads in the shoulder zone. They are cut with horizontal incisions and lamellas.

Kumho is a tire company based in South Korea. It is one of the largest manufacturers of car tires in the world. The company started its activity under the name Samyang Tire in the sixties of the last century. The manufacturer focused on the production of tires for compact passenger cars. Within a few years, the small company has grown its business. In the late sixties, Samyang supplied tyres for the first assembly for Daewoo, Kia and Hyundai vehicles. In the following years, the export and production of tires for industrial and agricultural applications began. In 1978, the company changed its name to Kumho. In the nineties, Kumho began to supply tires for sports and off-road cars. Currently, it is among the top ten global manufacturers of car tires.
