Description producenta: The history of this brand dates back to 1924, when the company Cavi Electrici e Affini Torino SpA was founded in Turin (trans. Electrical Cables and Similar Products from Turin). After the war, when the crisis affected many large industrial companies, the director Alberto Bruni Tedeschi (son of the founder) decided to move the company to India. In 1958, Ceat Tyres of India Ltd started its operations in Mumbai (formerly Mumbai), and from the very beginning it has worked closely with the automotive concern TATA. Since 1970, the company has been owned by Pirelli for 12 years, which resulted in technological development and entry into new foreign markets. Since 1982, the factories in India and the rights to the brand have been taken over by RPG Enterprises, which a few years later changed the name of the company to CEAT Ltd.
Currently, this manufacturer is at the forefront of tyre manufacturers from India, from the factories of CEAT comes out 95000 tires a day. The company is present in 110 foreign markets and produces tyres in 5 factories, 2 of which are located in Sri Lanka.
CEAT is the only Indian brand certified to ISO/TS 16949:2002 and the first Indian manufacturer to obtain TÜV certification. Most of the production is car, truck and motorcycle tires, but the offer also includes agricultural and industrial tires.
