Shell Helix Extra ECT 5W-40 5L is a fully synthetic engine oil of the new generation, belonging to the innovative Shell Helix Extra range (positioned between Ultra and HX lines).

The oil formula was created in low-ash Low SAPS technology, which prevents clogging and deposition of ashes in particulate filters (DPF/GPK) and catalysts. The Shell Anti-Friction Technology used drastically reduces internal friction in the power unit, supporting its dynamics and fuel efficiency. The oil provides up to 40% better wear protection, 60% higher corrosion resistance and up to 30% faster flow after cold start compared to industry standard requirements. Exceptional viscosity stability and shear resistance guarantee some protection in harsh road conditions. The convenient 5-liter package perfectly meets the needs of a full oil change.

NOTE – New name and packaging: The product Shell Helix Extra ECT 5W-40 is a direct successor to the withdrawn from the market oil Shell Helix HX8 ECT 5W-40. The change is due to the introduction of a new line of Helix Extra products by Shell.
