16-Port Managed SFP PoE Switch

PFS4218-16ET-240-V3 is a managed PoE switch by Dahua, used to build IP monitoring systems. The industrial switch is equipped with 16 RJ45 10/100Mbps ports with support for PoE 802.3af/at (power over ethernet) technology and 2 RJ45 Uplink 1 Gbps shared (Combo) ports with 2 ports for SFP inserts. The device supports IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at and IEEE802.3bt < 90W (2 first ports). In the PFS4218-16ET-240-V3 switch, the total PoE power budget for connected devices is 240W. The modern Dahua network switch is a Layer 2 managed device. It has its own console interface from which the user has the ability to fully configure individual ports and various functions. In addition, the switch is equipped with PoE 2.0 technology containing functions such as Watchdog PoE, intelligent PoE and support for long-distance mode 250m. On the front panel there is an indication of the operating status of the device realized on LEDs. The presented product allows freedom of operation both as a free-standing device and as part of a larger localized installation, e.g. installation in the RACK 19" cabinet.

The device uses twenty-four PoE ports, each of which allows you to power the target device with a power consumption not exceeding 30W (except for the first 2 ports with Hi-PoE support, which can deliver power up to 60W). An additional advantage of the PoE Dahua switch is the function associated with the intelligent protective mechanism, which regulates the power consumption at the time of overload on an ongoing basis. If all powered devices exceed the value of 240W, the switch will automatically disconnect the communication port with the lowest priority. This solution will protect the installation against overload and ensure the proper and uninterrupted functioning of the remaining equipment.

Dahua PoE 2.0 switches are professional transmission devices specifically designed to work in IP monitoring systems. Currently, the entire series of Dahua PoE switches has been fully updated and includes practical features such as: PoE Watchdog, BT 90W power supply - red port (selected models) and long-distance PoE transmission.

A characteristic feature of the Dahua switch are built-in 2 Combo Uplink ports, consisting of parallel RJ-45 ports and SFP ports. SFP sockets enable the use of the switch in modern monitoring systems that use high-throughput fiber optic networks for data transmission. To connect the switch to the fiber optic network, it is necessary to use an appropriate SFP module. Please note that the corresponding RJ-45 and SFP sockets work in parallel. If the transmission takes place on the SFP port, then the RJ-45 port is disabled and vice versa.
