Centralized power distribution for IP HD monitoring system

FGSW-2511P is a new Fast Ethernet PLANET 802.3at PoE switch, provides 24 10/100BASE-TX 802.3at PoE+ ports with a total budget of 190W, one 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink port and one common 1000BASE-X SFP slot. Its PoE power is more than sufficient for those network applications with Fast Ethernet transmission.

24 802.3at PoE+ ports have a PoE power injector function that is capable of powering 24 powered devices compliant with IEEE 802.3at. The FGSW-2511P also offers simple, cost-effective and non-blocking wire-speed performance. The device has a 19-inch metal housing and is suitable for deployment in the SOHO office or in the network application department.

Increased distance for power and data transmission

Built-in robust DIP switch provides "Standard", "VLAN", "QoS" and "Extend" operating modes.

• In "Standard" operation mode, the FGSW-2511P acts as a normal IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch.

• The "VLAN" operating mode has a port-based VLAN function that can help prevent the mutual impact of multicasts and IP camera broadcasts.

• The "QoS" operating mode has a port-based QoS function. Port 1 to Port 8 supports port priority; optimizes port cache.

• In "Extend" operation mode, PoE Port-1 to Port-8 of the FGSW-2511P can support 25-watt PoE output power over a distance of up to 250 meters overcoming the 100m limit for Ethernet UTP cable.

With this brand new feature, the FGSW-2511P provides an additional solution for 802.3af/at PoE distance extension, thus saving Ethernet cable installation costs. Its VLAN isolation feature isolates each port to prevent broadcast storms and defend DHCP spoofing in "VLAN" mode.

Gigabit Uplink Port

The FGSW-2511P features a single uplink combo interface with a transfer rate of 1000Mbps to ensure fast data and video transmission, as well as reliable connection between the surveillance system and the external network, where eight PoE+ ports can be fully utilized.

Fiber optic link allows you to extend network coverage

The mini-GBIC socket built into the FGSW-2511P supports 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (small form-factor pluggable) fiber optic modules, which means that the administrator can now flexibly select the appropriate SFP transceiver based on the transmission distance or transmission speed required for efficient network expansion. The distance can be increased from 550 meters to 2 kilometers (multimode fiber) and 10/20/40/60/80/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM). They are well suited for uplink applications to the backbone switch and long distance monitoring center.

Robust protection

FGSW-2511P protects against 4kV ESD overvoltage to improve product stability, and also protects user networks from devastating ESD attacks, making sure that the flow of operations does not fluctuate.

Easy installation and connection of cables

Because data transfer and high PoE are transmitted via cable, the FGSW-2511P is able to reduce the need for extended cables and electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or in any unreachable place. This helps to reduce installation costs and simplify installation effort. All FGSW-2511P copper RJ45 interfaces support 10/100Mbps or 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation for optimal speed detection via Category 6, 5 or 5e RJ45 cable. It also supports standard auto-MDI/MDI-X, which can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without the need for special straight or patch cables.
