🍄 Mushroom liquid LC – Lubricant 10ml

High-quality liquid culture (LC) containing the active culture of mycelium. The preparation is contained in a sterile nutrient solution that allows quick and even inoculation of the appropriate substrate.

The liquid form of mycelium allows for efficient colonization of the substrate and is one of the most frequently chosen methods in working with fungal cultures.

🔬 What is liquid mycelium (LC)?

Liquid mycelium is an active mycelium culture suspended in a sterile nutrient solution (usually based on water and sugar extracts).

In this form, the mycelium develops already in the medium, so that after inoculation of the appropriate substrate, it can start colonization faster.

The liquid form also allows for even distribution of culture in the material to be vaccinated.

Liquid mycelium prepared from pure mushroom cultures using the highest quality malt and yeast extracts.

Each species is grown on a nutrient-rich, liquid substrate, specially tailored to encourage rapid expansion and strong growth.

Each 10 ml syringe is securely closed with a luer lock cap.

Mushrooms can be stored for up to 3 months in a refrigerator at 1-5ºC

🍄Morchella esculenta, or edible spread, is one of the most valued and characteristic in Poland and Europe. It is especially desired by mushroom pickers and cooks due to its unique taste and aroma.

Occurrence

Lubricant grows mainly:

• in deciduous forests, often near ash, sycamore and poplar
• on places with fertile, permeable soil
• early spring, usually March–May

It often appears after snow thawing or after the first spring rainfall.

Appearance

Lubricant is very characteristic:

• hat: ovoid or conical, honeycomb, with deep chambers
• shaft: white or cream, hollow inside, slender
• size: hat 3 to 12 cm, shaft 4 to 12 cm

The appearance of the honeycomb on the hat is a characteristic feature of the grease, which makes it easier to recognize.

🌱 Important information about vaccination

When working with liquid mycelium, maintain a high level of hygiene and sterility.

The most important rules:

✔ work in the cleanest possible environment

✔ disinfect tools and work surfaces

✔ use sterile containers or pre-prepared material

✔ avoid contact of the syringe tip with non-sterile surfaces

✔ store culture in a cool place until used

Maintaining cleanliness during vaccination allows to minimize the risk of contamination and ensures the proper development of mycelium.

🌱Where we use liquid mycelium culture:

• vaccination of previously prepared substrates (based on wood sawdust or straw) for mushroom cultivation
• production of sterilised grain
• vaccination of agar plaques
