Monitor your home, property, driveway or entrance with the TP-Link Tapo C530WS camera. The rotating design, 3K 5MP resolution and intelligent event detection allow you to observe a wide area and receive notifications about the most important situations.

The camera can connect to the network via Wi‑Fi or wired via Ethernet port. The IP66-resistant housing allows it to be mounted outside the building.

Detailed image of 3K 5MP

The 2880× 1620 pixel resolution provides a clear image where it is easier to recognize people, vehicles and other details. The camera captures footage at up to 30 frames per second and supports 12× digital magnification.

WDR and 3DNR functions help improve image readability in more difficult lighting conditions and reduce noise visibility.

Colourful observation also at night

The Starlight transducer and two built-in headlights allow you to get a colorful image in low light. Classic infrared night observation with a range of up to 29,9 m is also available.

In smart mode, the camera can switch the preview from black and white to color when a human is detected.

Rotating design and motion tracking

The movable head provides a horizontal observation range of 360°. The camera can automatically follow a moving object, helping to keep it in the frame.

Patrol mode allows you to program several observation points. The camera will sequentially control selected areas, limiting the number of dead zones.

Intelligent AI detection

Tapo C530WS recognizes different types of events and allows you to adjust notifications to how you protect your property. Available features include:

• motion detection,
• detection of people,
• detection of vehicles,
• detection of animals,
• detection of line crossings,
• detection of camera cover or tampering attempts,
• configurable activity zones.

By distinguishing objects, the camera can reduce the number of unnecessary alerts triggered by events that do not require a response.

Light and sound alarm

When an event is detected, the camera can trigger a siren and two spotlights to draw attention to the protected area and scare away an undesirable person.

It is possible to record your own alarm message and adjust the brightness of the headlights. The siren volume is up to 93 dB, measured from a distance of 10 cm.

Conversation through the camera

The built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way communication from the Tapo app. You can talk to the person standing in front of the entrance, give instructions to the courier or react to an unusual situation.

Noise cancellation helps improve the readability of the conversation.

Recordings on a card or in the cloud

The material can be saved locally on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB. The memory card is not included and must be purchased separately. For continuous monitoring, it is recommended to use cards designed for frequent recording of the image.

The second option is to store recordings in the Tapo Care cloud. Using this service after a trial period requires a paid subscription.

Wi‑Fi or wired connection

Two external antennas support a stable connection to the 2,4 GHz Wi‑Fi network. In the open space, the declared wireless range is up to 150 m, but in practice it depends on the router, obstacles, interference and mounting conditions.

The camera can also be connected to the network wired via RJ45 10/100 Mbps port. Power supply is carried out using the included 9 V DC power supply.

Support for RTSP and ONVIF protocols allows you to use the camera with compatible recorders and monitoring systems.

IP66 resistance

The IP66-rated housing protects the device from dust and water, allowing it to work outside the building. The declared operating temperature range is from −30°C to 60°C.

The camera can be mounted on a wall, ceiling or pole. Bands required for pole mounting are not included.

Control from the Tapo app

The Tapo app allows you to watch live video, receive notifications, control camera position, view recordings and configure activity zones.

Physical privacy mode hides the lens in the housing. The camera also works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
