It increases the field of view to 177°, making it 36% wider and 48% higher than the standard field of view of the HERO13 Black camera. This allows you to capture a larger portion of the sky and horizon in each shot. Choose widescreen recording (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on your TV or vertical movies (9:16 aspect ratio) for social media posting. For maximum versatility, the full-frame option (8:7 aspect ratio) captures a 156° field of view, allowing you to crop the image to a widescreen or vertical format at a later time.

10-bit color depth + logarithmic encoding

In the HERO13 Black camera, you can choose to capture standard images with 10-bit or 10-bit logarithmic encoding based on the GP-Log profile. The 10-bit color depth allows you to display over a billion colors, allowing for greater color richness, smoother color transitions, and more realistic videos. Advanced users can use GP-Log color depth profiles to get more detail in images and make image corrections at the post-production stage (LUT table).

Timecode synchronization
