1 The trap is best placed in a place where the tunnel is straight and even. Locate the course of the underground tunnel with the probe; when the tunnel is encountered, the probe will suddenly sink into the ground.

2 With a hole boring tool, rotating it around its own axis, carefully hollow out a vertical hole with a diameter of 6 cm reaching the tunnel and an additional 2-centimeter recess in the tunnel substrate. Thoroughly select the remaining clumps of earth from the tunnel or dent them into the substrate of the tunnel.

3 Push the trap into the hole and carefully stretch the handle on the spring as much as possible. Scatter leaves or grass around the trap to block light and wind.

4 After completing these steps, the trap is ready for action. It happens that rodents fall into the trap after just a few hours, so it should be checked at the latest the next day.

5 After removing the voles, the trap should be set anew.
