Prescription Diet Feline c/d - a complete dietary food for cats, reducing the risk of struvite stones formation and recurrence. The diet has acidifying properties of urine and contains controlled levels of magnesium.

Indications:

• Initial therapeutic management in cats with feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD), including crystalluria and/or urolithiasis, regardless of their cause, with urethral spigots and idiopathic feline cystitis.
• Dissolving sterile struvite stones
• Long-term dietary management in cats prone to:

  crystals and struvite stones, calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate** (reduction of incidence and recurrence).

  the occurrence of spigots in the urethra (almost exclusively from struvite crystals or calcium phosphate).

  idiopathic feline cystitis (especially c/d™ Multicare Feline sachets and cans).

Contraindications:

• Pregnancy or lactation
• Young age of the cat

Do not give urine acidifying substances during the diet.

Periodic urine testing is recommended to control pH.

Supports the work of the urinary system, preventing the formation of crystals and stones in the urinary tract.

• The term FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) refers to lower urinary tract stones, associated with the formation of crystals in the urinary tract, an extremely painful ailment suffered by a large number of cats.
• Due to the wrong diet, phospho-ammonium-magnesium stones of the urinary tract often occur. These crystals and stones are formed as a result of too high concentrations of urate, cystine, magnesium and phosphorus.
• Hill´s Prescription Diet Feline c/d fights stones, preventing the crystallization of gout and cystine deposits through reduced levels of protein and mineral salts. Thanks to this, the concentration of urate and cystine in the urinary system is reduced.

Additional information

• Do not administer urine acidifying substances when using c/d™ Multicare Feline
• Periodic urine testing should be performed to ensure that the desired urinary pH is maintained and urinary tract infections should be combated if necessary.

Possibility of using other products

The only reasons for changing the c/d™ Multicare Feline diet to another one in the case of FLUTD may be as follows:

• Dissolving larger or numerous sterile struvite stones: Prescription Diet™ s/d™ Feline.
• Treatment of FLUTD due to gout, cystine or xanthine crystals: Prescription Diet™ k/d™ Feline.
• **If calcium phosphate is present in the form of bruschite: Prescription Diet™ k/d™ Feline.
