PLANET POE Managed PoE Injector Hub series is a cost-effective and fast PoE solution designed to perfectly upgrade existing network infrastructure to IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus network system without having to replace the existing Ethernet switch.

Cost-effective Managed PoE+ Injector Hub

The POE-1200G is a high-density rack-mountable managed PoE+ hub equipped with PLANET intelligent PoE features via a web user interface for remote management. As the name suggests, the device can inject a total PoE budget of 220W to PD devices. Each of the 12 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports can deliver up to 36W of power over a Cat.5/5e/6 twisted-pair Ethernet cable, enabling simultaneous data and power transmission to remote 802.3at/af powered devices.

The POE-1200G centralizes power and optimizes the installation and management of power for remote network devices, and provides a fast, secure and cost-effective Power over Ethernet network solution for small businesses and enterprises.

Quick and easy PoE network deployment

POE-1200G is installed between a regular Ethernet switch and PD devices. There are 24 RJ45 STP ports on the front panel of POE-1200G, of which 12 ports on the lower stack are for "Data input" and the remaining 12 ports on the upper stack are for "PoE (Data and Power) output". Both power and data are transmitted simultaneously over UTP cables to PD devices without affecting existing network performance and functions.

With data and Power over Ethernet from one unit, the POE-1200G can reduce power cable deployment and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place.

Compliant with IEEE 802.3at PoE+

In-line PoE power supply compliant with IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus standard enables the POE-1200G to deliver up to 36W of power on each port to any remote PoE-compliant PD device. It has twice the power of conventional 802.3af PoE and is an ideal solution to meet the growing demand for higher power consumption network PD devices such as PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) network cameras, speed dome network cameras, color touch screens or video and VoIP phones, multi-channel 802.11ac wireless LAN access points, and other network devices.

User-friendly web management interface

To effectively manage powered devices, the POE-1200G provides a simple Web management interface where administrators can control the system and PoE functions for powered devices. It can automatically detect the power status of each port and show messages on its Web management interface. These features also provide users with a cost-effective way to manage their device over the internet while they are at work or at home.

As a managed PoE Injector Hub for VoIP, Wireless Networks and Surveillance, the POE-1200G has the following special PoE management features:

Checking the operation of a smart powered device

PLANET Managed PoE products not only utilize Power over Ethernet technology, but also provide automated PD monitoring and real-time PoE status. The POE-1200G can be configured to monitor the connected PD status in real time via ping action via the uplinked Ethernet switch. When the PD stops working and responding, the POE-1200G will recover the power to the PoE port and bring the PD back to work. Moreover, it significantly increases network reliability as the PoE port resets the PD power supply, thereby reducing the management burden on the administrator.

PoE Scheme for Energy Saving

In line with the trend of energy saving worldwide and contributing to the protection of the earth's environment, POE-1200G can effectively control the power supply in addition to being able to output high wattage. The built-in "PoE schedule" function helps to turn on or off PoE power for each PoE port at specific intervals, and it is a powerful function to help SMB or enterprise save energy and money.

To facilitate power management, the POE-1200G comes with advanced PoE management features such as over-temperature protection, usage threshold alert, and automatic power allocation to prevent power budget overload. PoE power budget can be allocated by priority or classification, and alarm event logs are sent when power consumption reaches a defined threshold.

Through the power consumption graph on the web management interface, the POE-1200G allows the administrator to monitor the power consumption status of connected PDs in real time. This significantly increases the efficiency of facility management.

With 36-watt PoE output power, the POE-1200G can extend the distance by using PLANET PoE Extender to power PoE PD devices, which can be installed over 100 meters away. By daisy-chaining multiple PLANET PoE extenders, you can double, triple, or quadruple the distance of your PoE network.

Intelligent fan design for quiet operation

The POE-1200G features a low-noise design and an effective ventilation system. Supports smart fan technology that automatically controls the speed of the built-in fan to reduce noise and maintain the temperature of the PoE injector hub for optimal power output, with low speed and high speed smart fan status display on the web interface. The POE-1200G is able to operate reliably, stably and quietly in any environment without affecting its performance.
