You can create them on fabrics, canvas or paper without the need for thermal, chemical or steam fixation. Anything you place on a painted surface to block out light will create a print in minutes. You can use a photographic negative (digitally printed image on foil), any object (toys, tools, plants, clippings) or shadow coming from folds of fabric or a 3D object. The dye leaves the fabric naturally soft and pleasant to the touch. JACQUARD SolarFast dyes on paper do not leave a relief and do not affect the texture of the surface in any way, making them a powerful tool for mixed art.
