BOYA K9 is a microphone using the USB-C port powered directly by the connected device, which means no need for a separate power supply or audio interface. Audio recording takes place in 24-bit resolution at 48 kHz sampling rate, so that each recording retains details – the voice sounds full, and all the nuances of articulation go to the tape without imperfections.

Three characteristics

The ability to choose from three directional characteristics makes BOYA K9 adapt the way of collecting sound to the current recording situation. Cardioid mode focuses on the source directly in front of the microphone, which allows you to minimize background noises during podcasting or streaming. Other characteristics allow registration of several callers at the same time or spatial recording – the user does not need many different microphones, because one model supports different settings from place.

Monitoring and noise reduction

The built-in real-time monitoring function allows you to listen to your voice directly through the microphone without delay, which supports intonation and dynamics control during recording. Noise reduction works in parallel, reducing unwanted ambient interference, so that the final material requires less processing in the editing program.

Gain adjustment

The gain adjustment knob located directly on the microphone housing gives the user full control over the level of the input signal without having to reach the system settings of the computer. Thanks to this, you can quickly react to changes in dynamics – reduce gain during loud fragments or turn it up with calmer speaking.

RGB backlighting

The characteristic grid on the microphone housing hides RGB backlighting, which can be adapted to your own visual preferences – lighting effects harmonize with gamepads, keyboards and other elements of the streaming station. However, the backlight plays primarily an aesthetic role, giving the stand a clear character, which can be seen in the background during live broadcasts.
