EdgeRouter 6P is a new generation router from the Ubiquiti EdgeMax™ series. The device is equipped with five Gigabit Ethernet ports and one SFP (Gigabit) port. Thanks to the four-core MIPS64 processor clocked at 1GHz, the router achieves unprecedented performance in devices of this class.

EdgeRouter 6P is powered by a traditional DC power supply (24V DC 2.5A power supply included).

On all five LAN ports, it is possible to power devices using passive PoE – e.g. AirMax series (NanoStation, NanoBeam, etc. ) or UniFi.

The web interface of the router is extremely friendly and resembles the one known from other Ubiquiti solutions such as UniFi™ or airView™. EdgeOS is hiding under the interface, offering support for IPv6, routing protocols such as OSPF (also OSPFv3) or BGP. At any time, also using the web interface, we have access to the command line interface, which allows even greater interference in the configuration of the router.

EdgeOS is an operating system based on excellent software for routers - Vyatta. Known for its stability and unbeatable performance, the system offers all the most important features and protocols we could expect in modern routers:

• intuitive WEB interface and access to the CLI interface (also from the WEB interface)
• stable BGP and OSPF engine (also in versions for IPv6)
• IPv6 support (addressing, DHCPv6, routing protocols, firewall)
