I have a 256 GB card. How many days of continuous recording from this camera is that enough for me before it starts overwriting old files?

A 256 GB card is enough for about 4 days (exactly 97 hours) of continuous recording in the highest quality. When the media is full, the RLC-820A will automatically overwrite the oldest recordings. If you need a longer history, consider connecting a Reolink NVR.

I want to mount this camera on the plot, but I don't have a PoE switch. Can it be powered by a regular power supply to an outlet?

Yes, the unit also supports standard 12V power supply. Simply plug the appropriate power supply into the socket, and use the network cable only for data transmission. Please note, however, that the 12V power supply is not included in the factory kit.

Will this camera record in color at night, or will the image from the yard be black and white?

This model captures night vision in black and white mode. It uses advanced 3D-DNR noise reduction, which makes the details of the face or license plates sharp and clear even in complete darkness. If you care about night recordings in color, cameras with built-in LED headlights will be a better choice.

I have an Android TV in my living room. Can I watch what the dog is doing in the kitchen live on it?

Yes, integration with the Smart Home ecosystem allows you to display live video directly on your Android TV screen. Simply issue the appropriate voice command to the Google Assistant to access the video stream from the Reolink camera. This solution requires connecting both devices to the same network with Internet access.

I see the camera recording sound, but can I shout to the courier through it to leave the package at the door?

No, the RLC-820A has a built-in microphone to record ambient sound, but no built-in speaker. This means that you will hear what is happening on the property, however, two-way communication in this particular device is not possible.

What happens to notifications and recordings if the home suddenly lacks internet from the provider?

In the event of an internet connection failure, the camera will continue to record the image to a microSD card or local NVR as long as they are connected and powered. However, you will lose the ability to view live through the app outside your home and will not receive notifications on your phone until the network is restored. The intelligent motion detection system itself works independently of access to the cloud.
