PLANET XGS-6350-24X4C is a high-performance managed Layer 3 switch that meets the requirements of next-generation networks in the metropolitan area, data center, campus and enterprise. It has a density of 24 optical 10G SFP+ ports and 4 optical 40G/100GbE QSFP28 ports supplied in a robust 1RU housing.

The XGS-6350-24X4C is equipped with a complete Layer 3 management feature with support for a wide range of protocols and applications, making it easy to quickly deploy and manage services across both traditional Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. With support for advanced features such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, PIM-DM/SM, etc., this switch is ideal for traditional or fully virtualized data centers.

The administrator can flexibly select the appropriate transceivers depending on the transmission distance or the required transmission speed, which allows for efficient expansion of the 1G/10G/40G/100G network. In addition, with a bandwidth of 800 Gbps, the XGS-6350-24X4C can handle massive amounts of data in a secure topology connecting to the main core of the network or high-bandwidth servers where audio, streaming and multicast applications are used.

Extraction power supply design for increased flexibility

The XGS-6350-24X4C is equipped with an AC power supply unit with a voltage of 100~240V, which makes it easy to replace for users. In addition, the XGS-6350-24X4C has another emergency power socket on the rear panel, so users can add a second AC or DC power source to the emergency power supply installation. The XGS-6350-24X4C supports numerous multicast functions. In Layer 2, it includes IPv4 IGMPv1/v2/v3 snooping and IPv6 MLD v1/v2 snooping. With Multicast VLAN (MVR) registration, you can control multicast senders and recipients and detect illegal multicast sources. Layer 3 multicast protocols include PIM-DM, PIM-SM and PIM-SSM, making the XGS-6350-24X4C an ideal solution for building high-performance networks.

Full IPv6 support

The XGS-6350-24X4C supports IPv4 to IPv6 technologies, including manual/automatic IPv4 tunneling, IPv6 to IPv4 tunneling, and ISATAP (Intra-Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol). It fully supports IPv6 Neighbor Discovery, DHCPv6, Path MTU Discovery, Telnet, SSH and IPv6-based ACLs, meeting the needs of device management and IPv6 network service control.

It also supports 802.1Q labeled VLAN, Q-in-Q, voice VLAN and GVRP protocol. In addition, the number of VLAN interfaces is 1K, and the number of VLAN IDs is 4K. With support for port aggregation, the XGS-6350-24X4C allows for a high-speed connector that connects multiple ports. Allows up to 32 groups to join a connector with up to 8 ports in each group.

For efficient management, the XGS-6350-24X4C Managed 100Gigabit Switch is equipped with console management interfaces, website management interfaces and SNMP. With its built-in website management interface, the XGS-6350-24X4C offers an easy-to-use, platform-independent management and configuration interface. The XGS-6350-24X4C supports the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and can be managed using SNMP-compliant management software. To reduce product learning time, the XGS-6350-24X4C offers Cisco-compatible commands via Telnet or the console port. In addition, the XGS-6350-24X4C enables secure remote management by supporting SSH connections that encrypt package contents in each session.

The XGS-6350-24X4C provides twenty-four 10 Gbps SFP+ interfaces and four 100 Gbps QSFP28 fiber interfaces. Each of the SFP+ slots supports two speeds, 10GBASE-SR/LR or 1000BASE-SX/LX, and each of the QSFP28 slots supports native 100 Gigabit, 40G and 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Therefore, the administrator can flexibly select the appropriate SFP transceiver, taking into account not only the transmission distance, but also the required transmission speed. The length can be increased from 550 meters to 2 km (multimode fiber) or even up to 10/20/30/40/50/70/120 km (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are perfectly suited for applications in enterprise data centers and distribution.

Redundant Ring, Quick Restore for Critical Web Applications

The XGS-6350-24X4C supports redundant ring technology and features strong and fast self-restore capabilities to prevent interruptions and external threats. It introduces advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology and spanning tree protocol (802.1s MSTP) into the customer’s network to improve system reliability and uptime in harsh environmental conditions. In a simpler ring network, the restore time can be less than 50 ms, allowing you to quickly restore normal network operation.
