The GS305P-200PES Netgear switch enables the use of PoE technology in any place where it is necessary to simplify the installation of access points or IP cameras. The switch can be mounted on a wall away from electronic sockets. This makes the installation even more flexible. Powering via PoE technology does not require an additional socket for the end device, thanks to this solution you only need one Ethernet cable both to power the end device and to transmit data.

Application

The GS305P 200PES provides the transmission of power and data via a common port using a standard network cable. The device has been equipped with 5 gigabit ports , which can be used to transfer data, 4 of which enable power supply in the Power over Ethernet 802.3af / at standard. The advanced auto-detection algorithm protects devices against improper power supply, thus preventing the device from malfunctioning. An additional solution used in the GS305P switch is turning off the PoE power supply in case the device is disconnected.

Plug and Play

The GS305P 200PES is based on the Plug and Play standard, thanks to which it detects and adjusts the speed of transmitted data to the type of cable and end device, checking whether it supports power supply via PoE . LEDs on the front panel allow you to control the status of the device and the activity of the ports.

All elements are enclosed in a compact metal casing, providing excellent protection for the device components, and the lack of fans ensures noiseless operation required in an environment where noise does not have a negative impact on the environment.
