Version with potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment

A two-element rain sensor module is a system that compares the resistance of a probe with a predetermined value (driver). Water on the probe plate (rain or snow) causes a decrease in resistance between the probe paths, which is read by the controller system. On the controller there is a potentiometer and a diode indicating the status of the output.

The sensor has a digital output indicating the occurrence of precipitation and analogue to measure rain strength. The sensor can be used e.g. in the design of a smart home or in the car. Equipped with two LEDs, one signals the power supply and the other the output status of the digital sensor (0 or 1). Suitable for Arduino, AVR, DSP, Raspberry Pi and other microcontrollers.
