Purpose and design

ULEFONE Armor 22 is a rugged smartphone designed to work in harsh environments, offering protection against water and dust and increased mechanical resistance. The case is 15mm thick, the metallic edges provide a better non-slip grip, and the reinforced lens frame increases impact resistance.

Cameras and Night Photography

The phone is equipped with a set of cameras with two 64 MP modules: camera wide-angle and camera night vision with infrared sensor. The IR LED chip supports low-light image recording, allowing you to take detailed night shots and observe scenery with limited visibility. Camera uses a Sony IMX686 sensor with a size of 1/1,7″, an aperture of ƒ/1,89 and a pixel size of 0,8 µm; an 8 MP module is available for selfies.

Display and performance

Armor 22 has an IPS screen with a diagonal of 6,58" and FHD+ resolution (2408 × 1080), 20:9 aspect ratio and 401 ppi density. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate, which translates into smoother animations and scrolling content. The system is operated by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 (MT6781) with 2× ARM Cortex-A76 2,05 GHz + 6× ARM Cortex-A55 2,0 GHz configuration and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Memory, connectivity and additional features

The version includes 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory with the possibility of expanding the microSD card to 512 GB (SDXC). The operating system is Android 13 with the ability to personalize the interface. The device supports Dual Nano SIM, 4G connectivity (including LTE 2600 MHz/38 band), GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo location modules, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone has an infrared transmitter that allows you to control devices compatible with IR remote controls and a classic 3,5 mm jack connector.

Battery and field use

A 6600 mAh cell with support for 33 W fast charging and a reverse charging function was used. The large capacity of the cell translates into long working times in everyday use; the manufacturer also declares the parameters of talk time and standby time included in the technical specification. The phone is designed to work in off-road conditions, allowing you to record footage underwater and use features that are helpful during outdoor activities.
