KD1795 is a spindle milling machine with a 1900W motor, designed for milling wood and wood-based materials. The five-stage speed control allows you to choose the operating parameters for the type of cutter and the material being processed, and the maximum cutting depth of 44 mm allows you to make grooves, grooves and edge profiling in one pass.

Characteristics of the device

Five-stage rotation adjustment

The range of 11 000 – 30 000 rpm allows you to adjust the speed to the type of cutter and material. Lower rotations are used for large profile cutters and hard wood, higher – for fine profile cutters and soft materials. The adjustment reduces the risk of material burning and premature wear of the tool.

Depth limiter

The mechanical limiter allows you to set the working depth repetitively without having to measure each time. This is especially important for series of elements requiring equal depth of groove or socket.

Trigger lock

The lock button allows you to lock the trigger in the on position, which relieves your hand during long-term work. Standard solution in workshop milling machines, important when performing longer leads along the edge or template.

Set of bushings and guides

The set includes three collets (6 mm, 8 mm, 1/4"), a parallel guide and a template guide. Parallel guide is used for milling along a straight edge, template – to work with a stencil of any shape.

Dust outlet and vacuum cleaner connection

The milling machine is equipped with a dust outlet that allows you to connect the cable of the workshop vacuum cleaner. Milling generates a significant amount of sawdust and wood dust, so working with a vacuum cleaner is recommended both for health and safety reasons and to maintain the visibility of the cutting line.

Use and maintenance

Before replacing the cutter, disconnect the device from the power supply and wait for the spindle to stop completely. Clamp bushings are selected to the diameter of the cutter shank – using bushings of inadequate diameter can cause tool beating and deterioration of cutting quality. Regularly clean the ventilation holes of the engine from accumulated dust, which can cause overheating of the device during intensive use.

When selecting the rotational speed should be guided by the principle: the larger the diameter of the cutter, the lower the revolutions. Cutters with a diameter of more than 40 mm shall operate at the lowest possible regulator settings so as not to exceed the permissible peripheral speed of the blades.
