Manufacturer's explanation of the types of gluing and sizes:

There are three basic types of gluing in envelopes:

Wet gluing (NK) is gluing activated by prior moistening, which means that it is enough to moisten the layer of glue on the flap with anything and it can be freely sealed. Envelopes with this type of gluing have a virtually indefinite durability when properly stored.

Self-adhesive bonding ( SK ) - latex-based bonding. The adhesive is on the two sticking surfaces (the opening flap and the counter-flap). Sealing is achieved by touching both flaps. Manual operation is therefore particularly easy and uncomplicated. However, the durability of gluing - depending on the method of storage - is limited to one year.

Self-adhesive gluing with a strip (HK) - closing the envelope with such gluing is done by removing the strip covering the glue, putting on the flap and pressing the flap of the envelope and it is already firmly closed. Fast, safe, clean, practical and comfortable. This strip has a decisive advantage over wet sealing or self-adhesive closure. Envelopes really store much better, because the sealing is protected by a strip, it lasts longer and does not stick to the envelopes lying below. In addition, envelopes with such sealing are easier to fill and maintain their validity (guarantee), which is over 5 years. To this it should be added that the envelopes with this sealing can be printed without any problems , because the cover strip lies on the opening flap, which means that these envelopes do not stick to the printing device.
