Sparco was founded in Italy in 1977 by two young drivers, Enrico Glorioso and Antonio Parisi. Their goal was to improve the safety of the players. In 1978, Sparco created the first ever suit that met the requirements of FIA 8856-2000 approval. In the same year they also produced the first composite bucket seat. The SPARCO ICON office chair is a replica of the Sparco sports chairs.

The chair features a lowered and widened seat for added comfort and adjustable backrest for both incline and lumbar support.

The chair has tilt protection with 150° backrest lock and is equipped with SGS/BIFMAX5.1/EN1335 certified piston base, as well as tilt mechanism and high strength spoke base with 5 solid wheels.

The arms are type 2D with multi-directional movement.
